Paul Simon was a great singer who was born in Newark in New Jersey. He is a child of Jewish immigrant parents from Hungary. Louis Simon, father of Paul Simon was a professional musician. He played the bass, whereas his mother called as Belle was an elementary school teacher.
Music
In the late 1990s, this renowned singer wrote and gave out a popular Broadway musical called as The Capeman. In April 2008, the Brooklyn Academy of Music revised Paul Simon's works and commented a week to Songs from the Capeman with a good parts of the songs of the show performed by a cast of singers and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra.
Award
Paul Simon won 12 Grammy Awards and one Lifetime Achievement Award and in spite of all these he also got five Grammy nominations. Of all these, the most recent were for his album You're the One in 2001. In 1998, Paul received a Grammy Hall of Fame Award for the Simon & Garfunkel Album named as Bridge over Troubled Water. He also received an Oscar nomination for the song "Father and Daughter" in 2002. He also got twice intro into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a great solo artist in 2001 and then in 1990 as half of Simon & Garfunkel.
